Do you only do weddings?

I mainly shoot weddings but I absolutely love family, maternity and couple shoots. Share your vision with me and we can create something special.

What gear do you use?

I always have two camera bodies with me, both Canon R6 bodies. I shoot mainly on my Canon 28-70mm lense and I also have a Sigma 35mm lense.

How do we book you as our wedding photographer?

First off, congratulations on this special time in your lives.

To book me, you can start by completing my contact form thoroughly, telling me more about yourselves, your wedding (especially date + location) and the things that’s important to you. If we’re a good match and I’m available on your date, I’ll send you my packages and we’ll take it from there.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM US TO SECURE OUR DATE?

To secure your wedding date a 40% booking fee and signed contract secures your date. Somewhere along this journey I’d love to have a call so we can get to know each other and so you can share your vision.

How far in advance should I book?

As far in advance as possible.I generally book weddings 10-14 months in advance and I only take a limited amount of weddings per year.

COULD WE REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF PHOTOS INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE TO SAVE COSTS?

Unfortunately not, as the amount of photos are dependent on the amount of hours we’re booked, eg. if I shoot for 9 hours, I typically provide 650+ photos. If you want less photos, we can discuss cutting an hour from the package if I’m comfortable with it (because I don’t want to feel rushed and even more, I don’t want you to feel rushed).

DO YOU GIVE out RAWS?

No, I don’t. Editing is half the process that goes into images and without this huge step, the photos are only halfway done.
I guarantee that I won’t leave photos out that you would want, though- I won’t let you miss out on your memories.

Why should we do an engagement shoot?

Engagement shoots are great for us to connect, for you to see how I work and to ease your nerves when it comes to taking photo’s. It is also a great opportunity for you to do your make-up & hair trial to see how it will look on photo’s.

WHAT IF WE NEED TO CANCEL/ RESCHEDULE OUR WEDDING?

If you’ve already put a booking fee down on a date and then have to move/cancel it, the booking fee is non-refundable and a new booking fee will have to be made in order to hold a new date.
I am not doing this to take money from you, but because I close that date off for any other weddings I can no longer replace that date.

How do you charge travel?

For Weddings, I include 80km round trip in all wedding investments after that I charge R5.50 per KM. For Cape Town or non local venues I have an all inclusive travel package.

DO YOU NEED TO SEE THE VENUE/LOCATION BEFORE THE WEDDING?

I’m used to shooting at different locations and actually prefer to keep it as a surprise – it keeps my creative mind active. If I haven’t been to the venue, I’ll arrive earlier on the day to scout, so rest assured that we’re 100% prepared.

wHAT CAN WE AS A COUPLE DO TO ENSURE AN EPIC WEDDING?

Be intentional. Get off Pinterest and personalise your wedding – do what you love.

I would recommend working with professional wedding vendors (especially planners) so you can let go and enjoy every moment.

Consider having a no phone policy (for you, not for us) & focus on the lighting during your ceremony + reception to create a warm atmosphere.

SHOULD WE FEED YOU?

Yes please. We need a dedicated spot to drop our equipment (out of sight) and where we can have our meals, preferably as close to the action as possible.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR PHOTOS?

12-14weeks, dependant on the season. If I complete your gallery before then I will definitely share it with you.

6 weeks for engagement shoots.
